Get the inner dimensions, not just the outer

A box title rarely gives its usable size, and an item that fits on paper may not fit once padding is added. Ask for the inner length, width and height in centimeters, then test one box with your actual product. For rigid boxes, confirm the board thickness and whether the lid is lift-off, flip or magnetic, because each style wastes a different amount of space.

Ask whether logo printing is possible

Most titles describe occasion-specific boxes and say nothing about adding a logo, so do not assume branding is available. Ask whether the seller prints your artwork, hot-stamps it or only supplies a plain box, what the minimum is for a branded run, and which file the seller needs.
